Public profile metrics.
Taco Casa Texas is a Fort Worth, Texas fast casual Mexican food franchisor headquartered at 133 Aviator Dr. Roy and Shelda Upshaw opened the first restaurant in Fort Worth in 1972 after leaving a Taco Bell franchise, originally operating as Taco Hut before renaming the brand Taco Casa and beginning franchising in 1984 around affordable Tex-Mex tacos, burritos and related plates for working families. Taco Casa Texas is the concept, and the company operates as its franchisor with nearly all locations franchised to local owner-operators. The footprint is South Central–focused across Texas–Oklahoma–Arkansas markets from the Fort Worth headquarters rather than a national multi-coast system. Restaurants are fast casual and serve lunch and dinner with a Mexican or Latin and burger-friendly menu of tacos, burritos and related value plates in a classic quick-casual setting. Typical units seat about 50 guests in roughly 1,500 square feet, suited to neighborhood and suburban Tex-Mex boxes with limited seating and strong carryout traffic.

Investment firms, financial sponsors, and other ownership partners are generally not included unless they also play a meaningful operating role; an otherwise qualifying entity may also be omitted when sufficient reliable information is unavailable.
The ownership hierarchy follows the entity structure from the bottom up, showing the profiled entity in relation to its parent organizations, including its ultimate parent. When the entity owns or operates concepts beneath it, up to three are displayed.
