Ledo Pizza is an Annapolis, Maryland casual/family pizza franchisor headquartered at 41 Old Solomons Island Rd. Bob Beall opened the original restaurant in Adelphi, Maryland, near the University of Maryland in 1955, introducing a rectangular Maryland-style pie that became known for thin flaky crust, sweet sauce, smoked provolone cheese and thick-cut pepperoni sliced by hand. The square shape came from rectangular baking pans that were readily available when round pizza pans were still uncommon, and the recipes drew University of Maryland students, local families and even Washington Senators fans into a comfortable neighborhood pizza house. The founding families later franchised so other local operators could carry the same recipes into new markets while keeping the 1955 product standards largely unchanged. Ledo Pizza is the concept, and the company operates as its franchisor with nearly all restaurants franchised to local owner-operators. The footprint is Mid-Atlantic and East Coast focused, with restaurants centered on Maryland and neighboring coastal markets rather than a nationwide pizza story. Restaurants are casual/family and serve lunch and dinner with pizza and Italian menus of rectangular pies, pastas, salads and classic sides. Typical units seat about 90 guests in roughly 2,500 square feet, reflecting family pizza dining rooms with substantial booth seating.

The ownership hierarchy follows the entity structure from the bottom up, showing the profiled entity in relation to its parent organizations, including its ultimate parent. When the entity owns or operates concepts beneath it, up to three are displayed.
