Summary

DiPasqua Enterprises is a Winter Park, Florida quick serve Subway franchisee headquartered at 2277 Lee Rd. Co-founders Peter Sr. and Lucy DiPasqua were living in Brookfield, Connecticut, where Peter Sr. worked as a barber, when a customer told him about a growing local sandwich franchise. After meeting Subway co-founder Fred DeLuca, the couple invested their life savings and opened their first restaurant on East Colonial Drive in Orlando in April 1977, becoming Subway's first multi-unit franchisee. Their son Peter DiPasqua Jr., daughter Lynn and her husband Jeff Ganssle ran the early stores and today own and lead the company. Subway is the concept. DiPasqua Enterprises operates under franchise agreements and does not own the Subway consumer brand. The company is concentrated in Central Florida, with restaurants throughout Greater Orlando and nearby communities, including nontraditional sites such as a space center, retail superstores and a hospital. Restaurants are quick serve and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with made-to-order sandwiches, wraps and salads aligned to the national brand. Typical units seat about 20 guests in roughly 1,000 square feet, reflecting compact counter-service sandwich shops.

The Restaurant Enterprise Index focuses primarily on companies with a substantial role in restaurant operations. Investment firms, financial sponsors, and other ownership partners are generally not included unless they also play a meaningful operating role; an otherwise qualifying entity may also be omitted when sufficient reliable information is unavailable.

The ownership hierarchy follows the entity structure from the bottom up, showing the profiled entity in relation to its parent organizations, including its ultimate parent. When the entity owns or operates concepts beneath it, up to three are displayed.

Verify Our Data Methodology

  • Foundation: Active state business registries form the primary backbone of every record.
  • Sources: Publicly available filings throughout, including public Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs).

  • Verification: Entity/concept records are validated at the source by our in-house research team.

Leveraging Human-Verified Connections

  • Collection: Filings and public records are gathered through intake procedures.
  • Verification: In-house researchers review every record before it enters the database.
  • Ownership Chain: Where relationships can be established, researchers work upward from a concept headquarters or single concept through parent, grandparent, and ultimate parent, resolving operators into one connected structure.
