Chatime is a Markham, Ontario bubble tea franchisor that develops the Chatime tea house concept through franchise partners across Canada and the United States. The brand was founded in 2005 in Taiwan by Henry Wang under La Kaffa International, a foodservice group that later listed on Taiwan's exchange under ticker TW2732. Kevito Group, the Markham-based master franchisor and Chatime's parent company, brought the concept to Canada in 2011 and trains and supports operators of compact quick-service tea shops. Shops are fast casual tea houses and serve customizable milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies and related beverages finished with tapioca pearls, jellies and other toppings prepared to order. Typical units occupy small retail footprints in malls, street locations and other high-traffic sites rather than full-service dining rooms. The company remains focused on Canada and has restaurants in several U.S. markets.

The Restaurant Enterprise Index focuses primarily on companies with a substantial role in restaurant operations. Investment firms, financial sponsors, and other ownership partners are generally not included unless they also play a meaningful operating role; an otherwise qualifying entity may also be omitted when sufficient reliable information is unavailable.
The ownership hierarchy follows the entity structure from the bottom up, showing the profiled entity in relation to its parent organizations, including its ultimate parent. When the entity owns or operates concepts beneath it, up to three are displayed.
