Concepts that have grown by at least 5% (if less than 50 units).

 

 

Metairie, LA-based FAT TUESDAY (founded 1983) has increased by 6 units for the Fat Tuesday concept, from 18 to 24 (33% concept growth) and by 1 unit for the New Orleans Originial Daiquiris concept, from 33 to 34 (3% concept growth).  Overall company increase was from 51 to 58 (14% company growth).  These fast casual bars are open for lunch and dinner hours, serving mostly drinks and bar food, with a $6-$5+ per person price range.  Seating is for about 150.  Trading areas are AZ, FL, LA, NV, PA, SC, Mexico and Honduras.

 

Chattanooga, TN-based OLD CHICAGO (founded 1976) has increased by 4 units, from 95 to 99 (4% growth) and entered into NC.  This family/casual pizza concept is open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 225.  Trading areas are AR, AZ, CO, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, OK, OR, SD, TN, TX, WI and WY.  Old Chicago is a subsidiary of Craftworks Restaurants.

 

ANDY\’S FROZEN CUSTARD of Springfield, MO (founded 1987) has increased by 1 unit, from 22 to 23 (5% growth).  These are quick serve ice cream stores with limited seating.  Per person check average is around $4-$12.  Stores are open during lunch and dinner hours.  Locations are in AR, IL, MO, OK and TX.

 

Alameda, CA-based TOMATINA (founded 1998) has increased by 1 unit, from 6 to 7 (17% growth).  This family/casual Italian & pizza concept is open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  The restaurants serve beer and wine and seat around 70.  Catering, banquet and online ordering options are available.  All the restaurants are in CA.

BIG LOUIES PIZZERIA of Fort Lauderdale, FL has increased by 2 units, from 4 to 6 (50% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with seating for around 40.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$15+.  All locations are in FL.

 

BLENDZ based in Campbell, CA (founded 2003) has increased by 2 units, from 4 to 6 (50% growth).  These are fast casual American restaurants with seating for around 30.  Meal periods are breakfast,lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$12+.  Catering is available.  All locations are in CA.

Englewood, CO-based TOKYO JOE\’S (founded 1996) has increased by 1 unit, from 29 to 30 (3% growth).  This fast casual Japanese concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units serve beer and seat about 125.  Catering is available.  The restaurants are located in AZ and CO.  We last wrote about this company on 5/13/14 (16% growth).
